The Indian stock market experienced a robust performance today, with all 38 sectors advancing, marking a significant bullish trend. The NIFTYPSUBANK sector led the charge, gaining 1.09%. The SENSEX rose by 388.17 points, closing at 84,950.95, reflecting a 0.46% increase.
The Nifty index opened 38.15 points higher and further climbed by 65.25 points to reach 26,013.45, just 0.35% shy of its 52-week high of 26,104.20. Notably, the Nifty is trading above its 50-day moving average, which is also above the 200-day moving average, indicating a positive market sentiment.

In terms of individual stock performance, VLS Finance emerged as the top small-cap gainer with a remarkable increase of 19.99%. Among large caps, Hero MotoCorp led with a gain of 4.86%, while HUDCO topped the mid-cap segment with a 5.16% rise. Conversely, Tata Motors faced the steepest decline among large caps, down 4.83%, followed by Mphasis and Deccan Cements, which fell by 3.24% and 12.46%, respectively.

The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 was notably strong, with 334 advances compared to 164 declines, underscoring the overall positive market momentum.
