Mid-cap stocks led the charge, with the BSE Mid Cap index rising by 1.04%. The BSE100 and SMLCAP indices also posted gains of 0.8% and 0.69%, respectively. Among the top gainers, ICICI Lombard surged by 8.19%, followed closely by Persistent Systems at 7.26% and Bank of Maharashtra at 7.23%. Conversely, SKF India faced a dramatic decline of 54.58%, making it the top loser, alongside Tata Investment Corporation and C.E. Info Systems, which fell by 8.81% and 4.59%, respectively.
