This upward movement follows an initial rise of 85.51 points at the market's opening. The index is now just 0.53% shy of its 52-week high of 85,290.06 and has appreciated by 2.84% over the past three weeks.
Out of 38 sectors, 35 advanced while only 3 declined, with the S&P BSE Telecommunication sector leading the gains at 3.35%. In contrast, the NIFTYMEDIA sector faced a slight decline of 0.43%. Large-cap stocks were particularly strong today, with Coforge emerging as the top gainer in both large and mid-cap categories, rising by 4.41%.

On the downside, Adani Power fell by 1.88%, while Ola Electric and TGV Sraac saw declines of 3.22% and 6.70%, respectively. The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 stood at 292 advances to 207 declines, reflecting a healthy market sentiment. Small-cap stocks remained relatively flat, with Bharat Wire leading the small-cap gainers at an impressive 19.98%.
