Stock Market Mixed: Large Caps Gain, Mid Caps and Small Caps Flat

Today, the stock market is showing a mixed trend with small caps trading flat and large caps gaining. The top gainers in the mid cap and small cap categories are Coforge and Gulshan Polyols respectively, while Power Finance Corporation, M&M Financial Services, and CPCL are the top losers. The SENSEX is currently trading at 80,415.13 with a gain of 0.24%, and the advance-decline ratio is indicating a bearish trend. The stock market is seeing a mixed trend today, with small caps trading flat while large caps are showing some gains. The top gainer in the large cap category is Persistent Systems with a gain of 7.96%, followed by Coforge with 8.07% and Gulshan Polyols with 8.82% in the mid cap and small cap categories respectively.

On the other hand, Power Finance Corporation is the top loser in the large cap category with a decline of 2.51%, while M&M Financial Services and CPCL are the top losers in the mid cap and small cap categories with declines of 5.96% and 13.50% respectively.

The SENSEX is currently trading at 80,415.13 with a gain of 194.41 points or 0.24%. Out of the 38 sectors, 13 are advancing while 25 are declining. The top gaining sector is BSE IT with a gain of 0.81%, while the top losing sector is NIFTYCPSE with a decline of 2.18%.

The advance-decline ratio across BSE500 is 196 advances to 304 declines, indicating a bearish trend in the market. The BSE100 and MIDCAP caps are showing a slight rise of 0.16% and 0.06% respectively, while the SMLCAP cap is falling by 0.01%.

In terms of individual stocks, Coforge, Persistent Systems, and Max Financial are the top gainers in the BSE500 index with gains of 8.07%, 7.96%, and 5.72% respectively. On the other hand, CPCL, M&M Financial Services, and Action Construction Equipment are the top losers with declines of 13.50%, 5.96%, and 5.11% respectively.

Investors are also keeping an eye on the upcoming results of Coromandel International, NTPC, and ACC on 24th October 2024. After opening lower by 299.59 points, the Sensex has recovered and is currently trading at 80,418.50 with a gain of 0.25%. However, it is still trading below its 50 Day Moving Average (DMA) while the 50DMA is above its 200DMA.

In the last 3 weeks, the Sensex has lost 1.55%, indicating a bearish trend in the market. Currently, large caps are leading the market with a gain of 0.25%, while mid caps and small caps are trading flat. Investors are advised to keep a close watch on the market trends and individual stock performances before making any investment decisions.
