Stock Market Sees Mixed Trend, Notable Gainers and Losers Emerge

The stock market is experiencing a mixed trend today, with some notable gainers and losers. On the other hand, ICICI Securities is the top loser with a decline of 7.44%, followed by Nuvama Wealth with a decrease of 5.01% and Torrent Power with a decline of 4.18%. Investors are also keeping an eye on the upcoming results of P&G Hygiene and Gillette India, which are scheduled to be announced on 28th and 29th August 2024 respectively. After opening lower by 135.61 points, Sensex has recovered and is currently trading at 80,905.30 with a gain of 102.44 points (0.13%). The market is still 1.51% away from its 52-week high of 82,129.49. However, it is trading above its 50-day moving average (DMA) and the 50 DMA is also above the 200 DMA, indicating a positive trend. In terms of market performance, small caps are leading the way with a gain of 0.87% in the BSE Small Cap category. Overall, the market is showing a mixed trend with some sectors and stocks performing well while others are facing losses.
