The realty sector is the top loser with a decline of 1.70%, while the NIFTYMETAL sector is the top gainer with an increase of 1.12%. Investors are also keeping an eye on upcoming results, with Oracle Fin.Serv., Asian Paints, and IIFL Finance all set to announce their results on 17th January 2024. In terms of individual stocks, large caps are trading flat today, with I O C L being the top gainer with an increase of 4.32%. In the mid cap category, I R F C is leading with a gain of 8.41%, while ITI is the top gainer in the small cap category with an increase of 17.98%. On the other hand, Divi's Lab. is the top loser in the large cap category with a decline of 2.75%, followed by SJVN with 3.86% and Angel One with 14.57%. The SENSEX is currently trading at 73,154.49 with a loss of 173.45 points or 0.24%. After opening flat with a change of 4.01 points, the SENSEX is now trading at 73,167.23 with a decline of 0.22%. It is also 0.32% away from its 52-week high of 73,402.16. The SENSEX is currently trading above its 50-day moving average, with the 50 DMA trading above the 200 DMA, indicating a bullish trend in the market.
