ITDC Reports Record Sales Amid Cash Challenges and Stock Underperformance

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has recently undergone an evaluation adjustment, reflecting notable changes in its financial metrics. The company reported a very positive financial performance for the quarter ending March 2025, with net sales reaching a record high of Rs 199.94 crore. Additionally, the profit before depreciation, interest, and taxes (PBDIT) also peaked at Rs 32.20 crore, while profit before tax (PBT) less other income stood at Rs 30.39 crore. The net profit after tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 25.22 crore, translating to an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 2.93.
However, the company is facing challenges, particularly with cash and cash equivalents, which have reached a low of Rs 220.31 crore. The technical indicators have shifted, with the stock moving from a mildly bullish to a mildly bearish trend, as reflected in various technical metrics such as MACD and Bollinger Bands.

Despite a strong financial showing in the recent quarter, ITDC's stock has underperformed compared to broader market indices over the past year, generating a return of -3.74% against a market return of 7.54%. The company's return on equity (ROE) stands at 22.5%, but its valuation appears high with a price-to-book ratio of 14.7.
