Asian Paints Sees 18.42% Surge in Open Interest, Reaching 112,079 Contracts

Asian Paints Ltd. has experienced a significant increase in open interest today, reflecting notable activity in the derivatives market. The latest open interest stands at 112,079 contracts, up from the previous 94,645 contracts, marking a change of 17,434 contracts or an 18.42% increase. This uptick in open interest comes alongside a trading volume of 65,332 contracts, indicating heightened market engagement.
In terms of price performance, Asian Paints has been trading in a narrow range, with a recent decline of 0.69% over the past three days. Currently, the stock is priced at Rs 2,499, and it remains above its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, suggesting a relatively strong position in the market. However, it is worth noting that delivery volume has decreased by 5.97% compared to the 5-day average, with a total delivery volume of 426,000 shares recorded on October 23.
