Berger Paints India has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting challenges in its performance metrics for the quarter ending September 2025. The company's financial performance has shown a notable decline, with key indicators signaling areas of concern.

The profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter stands at Rs 206.29 crore, marking a significant drop of 29.4% compared to the previous four-quarter average. Additionally, the return on capital employed (ROCE) has reached a low of 16.05%, indicating inefficiencies in capital utilization. The debtors turnover ratio is also at its lowest, recorded at 0.63 times, which may suggest issues in collections or credit management. Other metrics, such as the profit before depreciation, interest, and tax (PBDIT) at Rs 352.25 crore and operating profit to net sales ratio at 12.46%, are similarly at their lowest levels.

In terms of market performance, Berger Paints has experienced mixed returns compared to the Sensex. Over the past year, the stock has returned 2.52%, while the Sensex has returned 5.94%. However, on a year-to-date basis, Berger Paints has outperformed the Sensex with a return of 19.84% compared to 6.81%. Despite these fluctuations, the company faces significant hurdles that need addressing to stabilize its financial standing.
