Blackbuck Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Concerns Over Earnings Sustainability

Blackbuck, a small-cap player in the transport services industry, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment reflecting its performance in the quarter ending September 2025. The company reported a significant increase in its profit after tax (PAT) over the last six months, reaching Rs 62.90 crore, which marks a remarkable growth rate of 228.57%. Additionally, net sales for the quarter peaked at Rs 151.14 crore, showcasing the company's strong market position.
However, not all metrics have shown favorable results. The PAT for the quarter was recorded at Rs 29.20 crore, indicating a decline of 67.8% compared to the previous four-quarter average. Furthermore, non-operating income constituted 41.24% of profit before tax, which raises concerns about the sustainability of earnings derived from core operations.

In terms of market performance, Blackbuck has outperformed the Sensex over various time frames. Over the past week, the stock returned 1.14%, while the Sensex declined by 1.09%. In the last month, Blackbuck's stock surged by 15.25%, compared to a modest 2.07% gain for the Sensex. Year-to-date, the company has achieved a return of 43.53%, significantly surpassing the Sensex's 6.84%.
