BSE Ltd has become one of the most active stocks in the options market, particularly with its June 2025 call options. Despite significant trading activity, the stock has underperformed compared to its sector and the Sensex. Investor participation is declining, although liquidity remains adequate.
BSE Ltd, a prominent player in the capital markets sector, has emerged as one of the most active stocks today, particularly in the options market. The company’s call options, set to expire on June 26, 2025, with a strike price of Rs 3000, saw significant trading activity, with 14,926 contracts exchanged, resulting in a turnover of Rs 46.42 crore. The open interest for these options stands at 6,533 contracts, indicating a robust interest among traders.

Despite this activity, BSE Ltd's stock has underperformed, showing a 1D return of -5.54%, which contrasts sharply with the sector's return of -0.52% and the Sensex's modest gain of 0.25%. The underlying value of the stock is currently at Rs 2869.0, which is higher than the 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, yet lower than the 5-day moving average.

Investor participation appears to be declining, as evidenced by a delivery volume of 19.42 lakh shares on June 10, reflecting a decrease of 7.13% compared to the 5-day average. Nevertheless, the stock maintains sufficient liquidity, with a trading capacity of Rs 49.83 crore based on 2% of the 5-day average traded value. Overall, BSE Ltd's current market dynamics highlight a complex interplay of trading activity and performance metrics.
