Chennai Petroleum Reports Record Financial Performance, Highlighting Strong Market Resilience

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has recently undergone a significant evaluation revision, reflecting a notable turnaround in its financial performance for the quarter ending September 2025. The company reported its highest quarterly PBDIT at Rs 1,144.49 crore, alongside an impressive operating profit margin of 7.01% relative to net sales. Additionally, CPCL achieved a record profit before tax of Rs 975.69 crore and a profit after tax of Rs 719.19 crore, with earnings per share reaching Rs 48.30.
Despite a slight decline in its stock price today, CPCL's performance over the past year has been commendable, with a year-to-date return of 22.53%, significantly outpacing the Sensex's 8.45% during the same period. Over the last three years, the company's stock has surged by 272.78%, while the Sensex has only increased by 41.81%. Furthermore, CPCL's five-year return stands at an impressive 896.43%, compared to the Sensex's 109.12%.
