Cochin Shipyard Reports Strong Debtors Turnover Amid Mixed Financial Metrics

Cochin Shipyard, a prominent player in the Aerospace & Defense sector, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment reflecting its robust performance in the quarter ending March 2025. The company reported significant achievements, including a record Debtors Turnover Ratio of 21.05 times, indicating efficient management of receivables. Additionally, net sales reached an impressive Rs 1,757.65 crore, while the Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 287.19 crore, translating to an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs 10.92.
However, not all metrics are favorable. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) less Other Income has seen a decline, recorded at Rs 226.93 crore, down by 13.45%. Furthermore, non-operating income constitutes 40.91% of the PBT, which may raise concerns about the sustainability of earnings derived from core operations.

In terms of market performance, Cochin Shipyard has outperformed the Sensex significantly over various periods. For instance, the stock has returned 51.17% over the past year compared to the Sensex's 11.77%. Over three years, the return skyrocketed to 1190.38%, showcasing the company's strong market position and resilience in a competitive landscape.
