GMR Airports Reports Improved Performance Metrics Amid Ongoing Financial Challenges

GMR Airports has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a notable improvement in its performance metrics for the quarter ending June 2025. The company reported a significant rise in its financial score, indicating a robust operational performance. Key indicators such as Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) reached a high of 6.89%, while net sales surged to Rs 3,205.23 crore, marking a strong quarter for the firm. Additionally, the operating profit to interest ratio stood at 1.23 times, and the Profit Before Depreciation, Interest, and Taxes (PBDIT) was recorded at Rs 1,164.67 crore.
However, challenges remain, particularly with the Profit After Tax (PAT), which fell to Rs -257.61 crore, reflecting an 81.9% decline. The debt-equity ratio also raised concerns, recorded at -15.27 times, indicating potential financial strain.

In terms of market performance, GMR Airports has shown resilience compared to the Sensex. Over the past year, while the stock has faced a decline of 10.39%, it has outperformed the Sensex, which saw a marginal drop of 0.16%. Notably, over a three-year period, GMR Airports delivered a remarkable return of 138.70%, significantly surpassing the Sensex's 41.27%. This performance highlights the company's ability to navigate challenges in the transport infrastructure sector effectively.
