GNFC Reports Significant Profit Growth Amid Ongoing Cash Flow Challenges

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a more stable performance in its latest quarterly results for September 2025. The company reported a significant growth in profit before tax, reaching Rs 103.00 crore, which marks an impressive increase of 758.33%. Additionally, the profit after tax also showed strong performance at Rs 179.00 crore, growing by 70.5%.
However, challenges remain for GNFC, particularly in its cash and cash equivalents, which are currently at their lowest level of Rs 836.00 crore. Furthermore, non-operating income constitutes a substantial 55.22% of the profit before tax, indicating a reliance on income sources outside of core operations.

In terms of market performance, GNFC's stock has shown varied returns compared to the Sensex. Over the past week, the stock returned 4.31%, outperforming the Sensex's 1.43%. However, on a year-to-date basis, GNFC has seen a decline of 8.22%, contrasting with the Sensex's gain of 8.02%. Over a longer horizon, the company has demonstrated resilience with a remarkable 159.79% return over five years, significantly outpacing the Sensex's 93.42%.
