Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd Sees Surge in Active Put Options with 3,119 Contracts at Rs 5100

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), a prominent player in the Aerospace & Defense sector, has emerged as one of the most active stocks in the options market today, particularly in put options. The company’s stock is currently valued at Rs 5114.7, reflecting a notable performance with a one-day return of 2.19%, outperforming its sector, which returned 1.58%.
Today, two significant put options were traded with expiry set for June 26, 2025. The put option with a strike price of Rs 5100 saw 3,119 contracts traded, generating a turnover of approximately Rs 633.49 lakhs, while the Rs 5000 strike price option recorded 3,846 contracts traded and a turnover of around Rs 526.22 lakhs. The open interest for these options stands at 2,785 and 5,510 contracts, respectively.

Hindustan Aeronautics has been on a positive trajectory, gaining for two consecutive days with a total increase of 2.51%. The stock reached an intraday high of Rs 5147, marking a 2.76% rise. Despite this upward trend, there has been a decline in investor participation, with delivery volume dropping by 31.11% compared to the five-day average.

Overall, Hindustan Aeronautics continues to demonstrate strong liquidity, with trading activity reflecting a robust market position within the large-cap segment, boasting a market capitalization of Rs 3,42,312.48 crore.
