Revenue and Profit Growth

Over the seven-year period ending March 2025, Cams Services’ net sales have shown a steady upward trend, rising from ₹693.64 crores in 2019 to ₹1,422.48 crores in 2025. This represents more than a doubling of revenue, reflecting strong market demand and effective business expansion strategies. The total operating income mirrors this growth, as other operating income remained negligible throughout the period.

Profitability has also improved markedly. Operating profit before depreciation and interest (PBDIT) excluding other income increased from ₹243.58 crores in 2019 to ₹652.22 crores in 2025, with operating profit margins consistently above 35%, peaking near 46% in some years. Profit before tax surged from ₹200.87 crores in 2019 to ₹618.66 crores in 2025, while profit after tax more than tripled from ₹130.90 crores to ₹464.70 crores over the same period. The consolidated net profit followed a similar trajectory, reaching ₹470.19 crores in 2025. Cost Structure and Margins

The company’s cost management has been effective, with total expenditure excluding depreciation rising in line with revenue but at a controlled pace. Employee costs increased from ₹274.62 crores in 2019 to ₹469.08 crores in 2025, reflecting workforce expansion and inflationary pressures. Manufacturing expenses and other expenses also rose, but the absence of raw material costs and selling expenses indicates a service-oriented business model.

Operating profit margins have remained healthy, with the company maintaining a gross profit margin close to 49% in 2025, up from 36% in 2019. The profit after tax margin improved from 18.87% in 2019 to 32.67% in 2025, signalling enhanced operational efficiency and profitability.

Balance Sheet Strength and Asset Quality

Cams Services’ balance sheet has strengthened significantly. Shareholders’ funds rose from ₹515.87 crores in 2021 to ₹1,118.55 crores in 2025, reflecting retained earnings and capital growth. The company maintained a debt-free status throughout the period, with no long-term or unsecured borrowings reported, underscoring a conservative financial policy.

Net block of fixed assets increased substantially, indicating ongoing investments in infrastructure and technology, with net block value rising from ₹76.68 crores in 2021 to ₹331.50 crores in 2025. Intangible assets under development also grew, suggesting a focus on innovation and digital capabilities.

Current assets expanded robustly, reaching ₹1,111.72 crores in 2025, supported by rising cash and bank balances and current investments. Net current assets improved to ₹780.83 crores, providing ample liquidity for operational needs.

Cash Flow and Financial Stability

The company’s cash flow from operating activities showed consistent growth, increasing from ₹198 crores in 2020 to ₹477 crores in 2025. Despite significant investing outflows related to capital expenditure, the firm maintained positive net cash inflows in recent years, reflecting strong cash generation capabilities.

Financing activities mostly involved outflows, likely due to dividend payments or share buybacks, but these did not impair liquidity. The closing cash and cash equivalents rose to ₹13 crores in 2025, up from ₹6 crores the previous year, indicating prudent cash management.
