Interglobe Aviation Sees Surge in Call Options with 7317 Contracts Traded at Rs 5900 Strike

Interglobe Aviation Ltd, operating under the brand name INDIGO, has emerged as one of the most active stocks in the airline sector today. The company, which holds a significant market capitalization of Rs 2,24,063 crore, has seen notable trading activity in its call options, particularly with a strike price of Rs 5900. As of the latest data, 7317 contracts were traded, resulting in a turnover of approximately Rs 1177.12 lakh, while open interest stood at 1880 contracts.
The underlying value of the stock is currently at Rs 5883.5, placing it just 2.29% away from its 52-week high of Rs 6018. Despite this activity, Interglobe Aviation has underperformed its sector by 0.5%, although it has shown a positive trend with a 1.78% gain over the last two days. The stock is trading above its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, indicating a strong position in terms of price momentum.

However, it is worth noting that investor participation has seen a decline, with delivery volume dropping by 6.4% compared to the 5-day average. Overall, while the airline sector has gained 2.22% today, Interglobe Aviation's performance reflects a mixed picture amid active trading conditions.
