Lotus Chocolate Company has revised its evaluation amid a challenging financial environment, reporting record net sales of Rs 158.71 crore for June 2025. However, rising interest expenses and declining profit after tax indicate underlying issues, despite the company's strong stock performance relative to the Sensex over the past three years.
Lotus Chocolate Company has recently undergone a significant evaluation revision, reflecting a challenging financial landscape for the small-cap FMCG player. The company reported its highest net sales for the quarter ending June 2025, reaching Rs 158.71 crore. However, several key performance indicators indicate underlying issues.

Interest expenses have surged to Rs 7.08 crore, marking a substantial growth of 102.29% over the last six months. This increase has strained the company's financial health, as evidenced by the operating profit to interest ratio, which stands at a low of 1.21 times. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) has declined to Rs 2.99 crore, a drop of 30.6% compared to the previous four-quarter average. The operating profit to net sales ratio is also concerning, recorded at just 3.12%.

Despite these challenges, Lotus Chocolate has shown resilience in its stock performance relative to the Sensex over various time frames. Notably, the company has achieved a remarkable 939.84% return over the past three years, significantly outperforming the Sensex's 39.24% return in the same period. This contrast highlights the volatility and potential of Lotus Chocolate in a competitive market.
