Manali Petrochemicals Reports Strong Financial Metrics Amid Ongoing Operational Challenges

Manali Petrochemicals reported strong quarterly results for September 2025, with significant increases in key financial metrics, including a record return on capital employed and profit after tax. However, the company faces challenges, including low operating cash flow and rising interest expenses, while its stock performance has varied against market indices.
Manali Petrochemicals has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a notable performance in its latest quarterly results for September 2025. The company reported a significant rise in key financial metrics, with a return on capital employed (ROCE) reaching its highest level at 6.22%. Profit before tax (PBT) also saw substantial growth, amounting to Rs 9.07 crore, which is a 71.3% increase compared to the previous four-quarter average. Additionally, the company achieved its highest profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 19.00 crore and net sales of Rs 248.04 crore, alongside an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 1.05.

However, challenges remain for Manali Petrochemicals. The operating cash flow for the year is at its lowest, recorded at Rs -54.66 crore. Interest expenses have increased to Rs 6.53 crore, and the debt-equity ratio stands at 0.14 times, indicating a higher leverage position. Furthermore, the debtors turnover ratio is at a low of 5.68 times, and non-operating income constitutes 58.72% of the profit before tax.

In terms of market performance, while the stock has shown a year-to-date return of 10.92%, it has lagged behind the Sensex over the past three years, with a decline of 16.54% compared to the index's growth of 36.66%. Over a five-year period, however, the stock has outperformed the Sensex, with a return of 126.16% against 94.77%.
