Maruti Suzuki Sees Surge in Put Option Activity with 23,217 Contracts at Rs. 14,000 Strike

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has emerged as one of the most active stocks in the options market today, particularly in the put options segment. The company, a prominent player in the automobiles industry, has seen significant trading activity in its put options with various strike prices set for expiry on August 28, 2025.
The put option with a strike price of Rs. 14,000 recorded the highest trading volume, with 23,217 contracts exchanged and a turnover of Rs. 51.08 lakhs. Following closely, the Rs. 14,600 strike price saw 16,355 contracts traded, generating a turnover of Rs. 450.66 lakhs. Other notable strike prices include Rs. 14,200 and Rs. 14,700, with 19,360 and 12,410 contracts traded, respectively.

The underlying value of Maruti Suzuki is currently at Rs. 14,720, and the stock recently reached a new 52-week high of Rs. 14,895. Despite this achievement, the stock has experienced a slight decline of 0.08% today, contrasting with a sector performance drop of 0.50%. The stock remains above its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, indicating a strong position in the market.

Investor participation has also increased, with a delivery volume of 5.53 lakhs on August 26, marking a 67.49% rise compared to the 5-day average. The liquidity of Maruti Suzuki is robust, supporting a trade size of Rs. 15.93 crores based on 2% of the 5-day average traded value. Overall, Maruti Suzuki continues to demonstrate significant activity in the options market, reflecting its strong market presence and investor engagement.
