Maruti Suzuki Sees Surge in Active Put Options with 6,880 Contracts at Rs 15,700

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has emerged as one of the most active stocks in the options market today, particularly in the put options segment. The company, a key player in the automobiles industry, has seen significant trading activity in puts with various strike prices, all set to expire on September 30, 2025.
Notably, the put option with a strike price of Rs 15,700 recorded the highest trading volume, with 6,880 contracts traded and a turnover of Rs 125.46 lakhs. Following closely, the Rs 16,100 strike price put saw 7,178 contracts traded, resulting in a turnover of Rs 633.17 lakhs. Other active puts included the Rs 15,500 and Rs 15,600 strike prices, with 5,625 and 4,143 contracts traded, respectively.

The underlying value of Maruti Suzuki stands at Rs 16,146, and the stock recently hit a new 52-week high of Rs 16,325, outperforming its sector by 0.47%. Despite a day’s return of 2.21%, investor participation has shown signs of decline, with delivery volume dropping by 35.32% compared to the five-day average.
