MCX Sees Surge in Active Put Options, 10,204 Contracts at Rs 7,500 Strike

Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) has emerged as one of the most active stocks in the options market today, particularly in the put options segment. Despite hitting a new 52-week and all-time high of Rs 8,008.5 today, MCX underperformed its sector by 0.37%. The stock has experienced a trend reversal after nine consecutive days of gains, with a one-day return of -0.23%. It remains above its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, indicating a strong position in the market. Open interest for these put options reflects ongoing investor engagement, with figures of 1,518 for the Rs 7,500 strike, 1,313 for the Rs 7,800 strike, and 1,342 for the Rs 7,300 strike.
