NTPC Green Energy Experiences Mixed Financial Trends Amid Profit Growth and Declining Metrics

NTPC Green Energy has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a flat performance for the quarter ending September 2025. The company's score has notably decreased over the past three months, indicating a shift in its financial standing.
On a positive note, NTPC Green Energy has reported a significant growth in its profit after tax (PAT) for the latest six months, reaching Rs 308.07 crore, which marks a 74.40% increase. Additionally, net sales for the first nine months stand at Rs 1,914.77 crore, showcasing a growth of 20.39%. These metrics highlight the company's ability to generate revenue and manage costs effectively in certain areas.

However, challenges persist as the profit before tax (PBT) excluding other income for the quarter has fallen to Rs 77.20 crore, a decline of 31.0% compared to the previous four-quarter average. Furthermore, the PAT for the quarter is reported at Rs 87.59 crore, down 37.1% from the previous average. Non-operating income has also constituted a significant portion of the PBT, accounting for 36.53%.

In terms of market performance, NTPC Green Energy has shown a 4.16% return over the past week and a 7.88% return over the past month, contrasting with a year-to-date decline of 17.48%. This performance is noteworthy when compared to the Sensex, which has seen a positive return of 8.25% year-to-date. The company's stock price has fluctuated between a 52-week high of Rs 155.30 and a low of Rs 84.60, currently trading around Rs 104.97.
