Orient Press Faces Financial Challenges Amid Declining Sales and Profitability Metrics

Orient Press, a microcap player in the packaging industry, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment reflecting its performance in the quarter ending March 2025. Additionally, net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 34.89 crore, which represents a decrease of 10.1% compared to the previous four-quarter average.
Key performance indicators reveal that the operating profit to interest ratio is at its lowest, recorded at just 0.01 times, while the profit before depreciation, interest, and tax (PBDIT) is also at a minimal Rs 0.02 crore. Furthermore, the operating profit to net sales ratio is notably low at 0.06%, and the profit before tax less other income is reported at Rs -2.66 crore.

In terms of stock performance, Orient Press has shown mixed results when compared to the Sensex. Over the past week and month, the stock has outperformed the index, but year-to-date and annual returns have been negative, highlighting the company's struggle to keep pace with broader market trends.
