Oswal Green Tech Faces Financial Challenges Amidst Long-Term Market Resilience

Oswal Green Tech, a small-cap player in the Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) sector, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment reflecting its performance in the quarter ending March 2025. The company reported a notable decline in key financial metrics, which has contributed to a negative evaluation revision.
On the positive side, the company achieved a higher profit after tax (PAT) for the nine-month period, amounting to Rs 3.86 crore. However, several critical areas have shown significant downturns. Net sales for the quarter fell to Rs 19.83 crore, marking a decline of 22.08%. Additionally, profit before tax less other income (PBT less OI) plummeted to Rs -7.56 crore, a staggering drop of 500%. The quarter also saw a negative PAT of Rs -0.61 crore, a decline of 118.3%, and the lowest PBDIT recorded at Rs -6.44 crore. Earnings per share (EPS) also reached a low of Rs -0.02.

In terms of market performance, Oswal Green Tech has shown varied returns compared to the Sensex. Over the past year, the stock has returned 27.85%, significantly outperforming the Sensex's 10.34%. However, year-to-date returns reflect a decline of 11.32%, contrasting with the Sensex's gain of 4.42%. The company has demonstrated resilience over a longer horizon, with a remarkable 356.52% return over the past five years, compared to the Sensex's 163.79%.
