Paras Defence Reports Mixed Financial Trends Amid Strong Market Performance

Paras Defence and Space Technologies has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a shift in its evaluation. The company reported a positive financial performance for the quarter ending June 2025, with net sales reaching Rs 201.42 crore, marking a growth of 23.37% over the last six months. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) for the same period stood at Rs 34.59 crore, showcasing a significant growth of 39.36%. The return on capital employed (ROCE) also reached a notable high of 13.59%.
However, not all metrics indicate strength. The company's profit before depreciation, interest, and taxes (PBDIT) for the latest quarter was recorded at Rs 21.95 crore, the lowest in recent times. Furthermore, the operating profit to net sales ratio was at a low of 23.55%. The profit before tax (PBT) less other income fell to Rs 17.07 crore, down by 9.8% compared to the previous four-quarter average, while PAT for the quarter was Rs 14.87 crore, reflecting a decline of 6.3%. The earnings per share (EPS) also hit a low of Rs 1.85.

In terms of market performance, Paras Defence has shown resilience, with a year-to-date return of 55.75%, significantly outperforming the Sensex, which recorded a return of 4.25% in the same period. Over the past year, the stock has delivered a return of 23.83%, compared to the Sensex's 1.78%. The company's performance over three years has been particularly strong, with a return of 156.9%, while the Sensex returned 46.08%.
