Pfizer Reports Strong Financial Metrics Amid Mixed Stock Performance Trends

Pfizer has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a notable improvement in its performance metrics for the quarter ending March 2025. The company reported its highest net sales at Rs 591.91 crore, alongside a peak PBDIT of Rs 227.50 crore. The operating profit to net sales ratio also reached a significant 38.43%, indicating strong operational efficiency. Additionally, the profit before tax (PBT) less other income stood at Rs 208.41 crore, while the profit after tax (PAT) was recorded at Rs 196.63 crore. The earnings per share (EPS) also hit a high of Rs 72.34.
Despite these positive developments, it is important to note that Pfizer's year-to-date stock return has been negative at -5.88%, contrasting with a 3.90% return from the Sensex. Over the past year, however, Pfizer's stock has shown a return of 10.54%, slightly outperforming the Sensex's 9.70%. The company's performance over shorter time frames, such as one week and one month, has been particularly strong, with returns of 14.31% and 18.73%, respectively. This indicates a potential recovery trajectory, although longer-term comparisons reveal challenges against broader market trends.
