Singer India Reports Strong Financial Performance Amidst Mixed Market Trends and Earnings Concerns

Singer India, a microcap player in the Electronics & Appliances sector, has recently undergone a significant evaluation revision, reflecting a robust financial performance for the quarter ending March 2025. The company reported its highest net sales at Rs 121.67 crore, alongside a peak PBDIT of Rs 4.14 crore. Notably, the operating profit as a percentage of net sales reached 3.40%, and profit before tax (PBT) was recorded at Rs 3.50 crore, culminating in a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 4.05 crore. The earnings per share (EPS) also hit a high of Rs 0.66.
However, challenges remain, particularly with non-operating income constituting 37.83% of PBT, which may raise concerns about the sustainability of earnings derived from core operations.

In terms of market performance, Singer India has shown mixed results compared to the Sensex. Over the past week, the stock returned 8.09%, while the Sensex declined by 0.74%. However, year-to-date, Singer India has faced a decline of 16.51%, contrasting with the Sensex's gain of 4.58%. Despite these fluctuations, the company has demonstrated resilience over longer periods, with a notable 182.34% return over the past five years, outpacing the Sensex's 166.43%.
