Suzlon Energy Reports Record Sales Amid Rising Interest Expenses and Mixed Stock Performance

Suzlon Energy, a midcap player in the Heavy Electrical Equipment sector, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment reflecting its strong performance in the quarter ending September 2025. The company reported record net sales of Rs 3,870.78 crore, alongside a peak PBDIT of Rs 720.84 crore and a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 535.95 crore. The net profit after tax (PAT) also reached a high of Rs 1,279.44 crore, translating to an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 0.93. However, not all metrics are performing optimally. The company's interest expenses over the latest six months have risen to Rs 212.73 crore, marking a significant growth of 37.91%. Additionally, both the inventory turnover ratio and debtors turnover ratio are at their lowest, recorded at 0.32 times and 0.28 times, respectively. In terms of market performance, Suzlon Energy's stock has shown mixed results compared to the Sensex. Over the past week, the stock has declined by 3.05%, while it has gained 7.15% over the past month. Year-to-date, the stock is down 6.52%, contrasting with the Sensex's 8.08% increase. Notably, over a three-year period, Suzlon Energy has outperformed the Sensex significantly, with a remarkable return of 608.53%.
