Tata Communications reported record net sales of Rs 6,099.75 crore for the quarter ending September 2025, but faced challenges with a significant drop in profit after tax and low operating cash flow. Despite these issues, the company's stock has outperformed the Sensex both year-to-date and over the past decade.
Tata Communications has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting challenges in its performance metrics for the quarter ending September 2025. The company reported its highest net sales at Rs 6,099.75 crore, indicating strong revenue generation. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by several concerning indicators.

Operating cash flow for the year was recorded at Rs 2,910.81 crore, marking a significant low point. Additionally, profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter fell to Rs 197.29 crore, a decline of 25.5% compared to the previous four-quarter average. The operating profit to interest ratio also reached a low of 5.81 times, while interest expenses peaked at Rs 201.96 crore. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 6.42, reflecting a downturn in profitability.

Despite these challenges, Tata Communications has shown resilience in its stock performance relative to the Sensex. Over the past week, the stock returned 15.89%, and year-to-date, it has outperformed the Sensex with a return of 14.80%. Over a longer horizon, the company has demonstrated substantial growth, with a 10-year return of 363.13%, compared to the Sensex's 205.83%. This performance highlights the company's ability to navigate market fluctuations, even amidst current financial pressures.
