Tata Motors Ltd. Sees Surge in Active Put Options with 4,970 Contracts at 650 Strike

Tata Motors Ltd., a prominent player in the automobiles sector, particularly in passenger cars, has emerged as one of the most active stocks in the options market today. The company, with a market capitalization of Rs 2,39,876.68 crore, saw significant activity in its put options, specifically with a strike price of 650. A total of 4,970 contracts were traded, resulting in a turnover of approximately Rs 625.93 lakh, while open interest stood at 6,051 contracts.
In terms of performance, Tata Motors has underperformed its sector by 1.96% today, following a trend reversal after two consecutive days of gains. The stock's current value is noted at Rs 653.00, which is higher than the 20-day moving average but lower than the 5-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages. Additionally, there has been a notable decline in investor participation, with delivery volume dropping by 47.82% compared to the 5-day average.

The stock recorded a one-day return of -1.50%, contrasting with a sector return of 0.66% and a Sensex return of -0.40%. Despite the fluctuations, Tata Motors remains a key player in the market, reflecting the dynamic nature of the automotive industry.
