History:
Panchmahal Steel Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company and initially aimed to manufacture 18,000 tpa of mild steel ingots. The company faced financial difficulties and was declared a sick unit, leading to a winding-up petition by creditors. In February 1976, the Gujarat High Court approved the takeover of the company by R L Malhotra and Ashok Malhotra, after which it successfully turned around. The latest quarterly results reported net sales and profit for March 2025.
