Yatra Online Reports Growth Amid Rising Interest Expenses and Market Volatility

Yatra Online, a small-cap player in the tour and travel-related services industry, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment reflecting its performance metrics for the quarter ending March 2025. The company reported a notable PBDIT of Rs 17.07 crore, alongside net sales reaching Rs 218.97 crore, which represents a growth of 28.8% compared to the previous four-quarter average. Additionally, the operating profit to net sales ratio peaked at 7.80%, and the profit after tax was recorded at Rs 15.22 crore, resulting in an earnings per share of Rs 0.97.
However, challenges persist for Yatra Online. The interest expense has surged to Rs 3.27 crore, marking a significant increase of 51.39%. Furthermore, non-operating income constitutes 71.73% of the profit before tax, indicating a reliance on income sources outside of core operations.

In terms of market performance, Yatra Online's stock has faced volatility, with a year-to-date return of -13.11%, contrasting sharply with the Sensex's 4.24% gain.
