Hillcrest Petroleum Ltd. (Hillcrest), formerly Hillcrest Resources Ltd., is engaged in the business of acquiring, exploring and developing exploration interests in oil and gas projects in the United States. The Company's two geographical segments are Canada and the United States. It has working interests in the various oil and gas properties, including Gulf of Mexico Properties and Hartburg Property, Texas. The Company, through its subsidiary Hillcrest GOM Inc. (HGOM), owns a portfolio of non-operated oil and gas properties in the Gulf of Mexico, within the shallow federal water shelf region offshore Louisiana. Its properties comprise approximately six leases containing over four producing fields. Working interests in these leases range from 4% to 26%. Approximately four wells have been completed on the Hartburg Property, including Donner #1, Donner #2, Donner #4 and Brown #1. It has mineral interests of 80% to 89% within certain parts of the Carrera Prospect area.
