East West Freight Carriers, a microcap company in the miscellaneous industry, has recently announced its financial results for the quarter ending March 2024. The company’s stock has been given a ‘Sell’ call by MarketsMOJO.

Despite this, East West Freight has shown a very positive financial performance in the quarter, with a score of 24, up from 19 in the previous quarter. This improvement can be attributed to several factors, including a significant growth in Profit Before Tax (PBT) and Net Sales.

The PBT for the quarter was Rs 1.08 crore, which is a growth of 1081.8% compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters. This shows a very positive trend in the company’s near-term PBT performance. Similarly, the Net Sales for the quarter were Rs 92.73 crore, a growth of 78% compared to the average Net Sales of the previous four quarters.

The company’s ability to manage interest payments has also improved, with an Operating Profit to Interest ratio of 1.55 times, the highest in the last five quarters. The Operating Profit (PBDIT) for the quarter was also the highest at Rs 4.13 crore, showing a positive trend in the company’s near-term performance.

However, there are some areas where East West Freight can improve. The Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was Rs 0.62 crore, a decrease of 61% compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters. The company’s pace of settling its Debtors has also slowed, with a Debtors Turnover Ratio of 2.86 times, the lowest in the last five half-yearly periods.

Overall, East West Freight Carriers has shown a positive financial performance in the quarter ending March 2024, with a strong growth in PBT and Net Sales. However, there are some areas that the company can work on to improve its performance in the future.
