The OILGAS sector led the gains, rising 1.97%, driven by HPCL's 4.66% increase. The NIFTYPSUBANK sector also performed well, up 1.92%, supported by UCO Bank's 2.75% rise. In contrast, the BANKEX sector dipped 0.13%, primarily due to Axis Bank's 2.06% decline. Overall, the market reflected robust investor confidence, particularly in the NIFTYPSUBANK sector, which had the highest advance-decline ratio of 10.

Advancing sectors outnumbered declining ones significantly, with 36 sectors showing upward momentum compared to just 2 that faced losses, resulting in an impressive advance-decline ratio of 18.0.

The OILGAS sector emerged as a standout performer, climbing 1.97%, driven primarily by HPCL, which surged 4.66%. Following closely was the NIFTYPSUBANK sector, which rose by 1.92%, bolstered by UCO Bank's gain of 2.75%. The REALTY sector also contributed positively, with a 1.49% increase, led by Anant Raj, which saw a rise of 2.95%.

On the downside, the BANKEX sector experienced a slight decline of 0.13%, with Axis Bank dragging the performance down by 2.06%. Similarly, the S&P INDLS sector fell by 0.07%, significantly impacted by DCX Systems, which plummeted 7.68%. Notably, the NIFTYPSUBANK sector showcased the best advance-decline ratio of 10, indicating strong investor confidence in this area.
