SENSEX Gains 105 Points as Sammaan Capital Soars 7.58% Amid Positive Market Sentiment

The BSE500's advance-decline ratio was favorable at 1.52x, indicating a healthy market breadth. Mid-cap stocks outperformed, gaining 0.42%, while small-cap and BSE100 indices also recorded modest increases. Notable gainers included Sammaan Capital and Tata Investment Corporation, while Jindal Stainless led the declines. The BSE Capital Goods sector was the strongest performer, while the FMCG sector struggled. Overall, the market demonstrated resilience, particularly in mid-cap stocks.
The Indian stock market exhibited a modest upward trend today, with the SENSEX trading at 80,531.64, reflecting a gain of 105.18 points or 0.13%. The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 showed a healthy 1.52x, with 300 stocks advancing compared to 197 declining. Mid-cap stocks led the charge, rising by 0.42%, while small-cap and BSE100 indices also saw gains of 0.23% and 0.19%, respectively.Among the top gainers in the BSE500, Sammaan Capital surged by 7.58%, followed by Tata Investment Corporation at 4.20% and Tejas Networks at 3.78%. Conversely, Jindal Stainless was the biggest loser, down 3.33%, with Anand Rathi Wealth and Hindustan Unilever also facing declines of 2.26% and 2.19%, respectively.
Out of 38 sectors, 32 advanced, with the BSE Capital Goods sector leading the way at 0.78%. However, the BSE FMCG sector lagged, declining by 0.66%. Large-cap stocks remained largely flat, with Bharat Electronics gaining 1.93%, while Hindustan Unilever was the top large-cap loser. Overall, the market showed resilience, particularly in the mid-cap segment, which gained 0.45% today.
