The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 was notably positive, with 364 stocks advancing compared to 136 declining, reflecting a ratio of 2.68x.
Among the market segments, small-cap stocks led the charge with a rise of 1.16%, followed closely by mid-caps at 0.91% and BSE100 caps at 0.83%. The NIFTYMEDIA sector emerged as the top gainer, increasing by 3.26%, while the NIFTYPSUBANK sector faced a slight decline of 0.30%.

In terms of individual stock performance, Sun TV Network stood out as the top gainer in the BSE500, surging by 15.33%. Other notable gainers included AIA Engineering and KPIT Technologies, which rose by 6.27% and 5.93%, respectively. Conversely, JSW Holdings led the decliners with a drop of 5.00%, followed by Delhivery and NLC India, which fell by 3.38% and 3.05%. Overall, the market displayed strong upward momentum, with most sectors and stocks contributing positively to the day's performance.
