Bodhi Tree Multimedia Faces Stock Decline Amid Strong Sales Growth and High Pledged Shares

Bodhi Tree Multimedia, a microcap player in the Media & Entertainment sector, has experienced significant activity today, hitting a new 52-week low of Rs. 7.15. This decline marks a continued trend, as the stock has fallen for two consecutive days, resulting in a total drop of 1.54% during this period. Notably, Bodhi Tree Multimedia has underperformed its sector by 0.25%.
Despite the recent downturn, the company has shown robust growth in net sales, achieving an annual growth rate of 44.59%. In its latest quarterly results, Bodhi Tree reported net sales of Rs. 40.21 crore and a PBDIT of Rs. 4.74 crore, reflecting a substantial increase of 138.35% in net sales compared to the previous year. The company’s profitability has also improved, with a 43.1% rise in profits over the past year.

However, the stock's performance over the last year has been challenging, with a decline of 36.27%, contrasting sharply with the Sensex's gain of 2.36%. Additionally, a concerning factor is that 99.77% of promoter shares are pledged, which may exert further pressure on the stock in a declining market.
