Suratwwala Business Group Shows Mixed Financial Trends Amid Market Challenges

Suratwwala Business Group, a microcap player in the realty sector, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a more stable performance in its latest quarter ending March 2025. The company reported a notable increase in key financial metrics, with profit before tax reaching Rs 8.36 crore, marking a significant growth compared to the previous four-quarter average. Additionally, net sales hit a record high of Rs 21.47 crore, while profit after tax also reached its peak at Rs 6.53 crore, translating to an earnings per share of Rs 0.38.
However, the company faces challenges as well. Over the latest six-month period, profit after tax has declined to Rs 6.72 crore, reflecting a decrease of 44.60%. Similarly, net sales during this timeframe fell to Rs 24.65 crore, down 34.14%. The return on capital employed for the half-year is at its lowest, recorded at 31.24%.

In terms of market performance, Suratwwala's stock has struggled recently, with a year-to-date return of -68.51%, significantly underperforming the Sensex, which has seen a gain of 4.06% in the same period. Despite these hurdles, the company has shown resilience over a three-year horizon, with a return of 90.47%, outperforming the Sensex's 48.15%.
