Manappuram Finance Reports Mixed Financial Results Amid Strategic Debt Reduction and Record Dividend
Manappuram Finance has reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, highlighting a reduced Debt-Equity Ratio and the highest annual Dividend per Share in five years. However, the company faces challenges with significant declines in Profit Before Tax, Profit After Tax, and net sales compared to previous quarters.
Manappuram Finance, a small-cap player in the Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) sector, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025. The results indicate a complex landscape for the company, with notable shifts in its financial metrics. On a positive note, the company has achieved its lowest Debt-Equity Ratio in the last five half-yearly periods, now standing at 2.90 times. This reflects a strategic reduction in borrowing relative to equity capital. Additionally, Manappuram Finance has declared its highest annual Dividend per Share (DPS) at Rs 4.00 over the past five years, signaling a commitment to returning profits to shareholders.
Conversely, the financial results also reveal significant challenges. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) has shown a substantial decline, recorded at Rs 98.97 crore, which is markedly lower than the average of Rs 408.11 crore from the previous four quarters. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) has decreased to Rs 138.38 crore, down from an average of Rs 304.04 crore in the prior quarters. Furthermore, net sales have reached their lowest point in the last five quarters at Rs 2,262.39 crore, reflecting a downward trend in sales performance.
In light of these developments, Manappuram Finance has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score improving to -10 from -17 over the last three months.
