Star Paper Mills Reports Decline in Key Financial Metrics Amid Operational Challenges in June 2025

Star Paper Mills has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company's score has undergone an adjustment, reflecting a shift in its evaluation over the past three months.
The financial data indicates a decline in key performance metrics. Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) stands at Rs 4.45 crore, marking a significant year-on-year decrease of 45.93%. Similarly, net sales have also contracted, reported at Rs 101.16 crore, which is an 11.15% decline compared to the previous year.

Operating profit has reached its lowest point in five quarters at Rs 6.28 crore, contributing to a diminished operating profit margin of 6.21%. This suggests a deterioration in the company's operational efficiency. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) has decreased by 7.9% year-on-year, further indicating a negative trend in profitability.

The financial results also highlight that non-operating income constitutes a substantial 72.73% of the profit before tax, raising concerns about the sustainability of the company's income sources.
