Aditya Vision Reports Strong Sales Amid Rising Interest Expenses and Capital Efficiency Concerns

Aditya Vision, a midcap player in the retailing sector, has recently undergone a financial trend adjustment, reflecting a flat performance for the quarter ending June 2025. The company's financial metrics indicate a robust quarter, with net sales reaching an impressive Rs 940.23 crore, marking a significant achievement. Additionally, the company reported its highest PBDIT at Rs 89.73 crore and a profit before tax (PBT) less other income of Rs 71.65 crore. The profit after tax (PAT) also peaked at Rs 55.16 crore, contributing to an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 4.29.
However, challenges persist for Aditya Vision. Interest expenses over the last six months have surged to Rs 19.56 crore, reflecting a growth of 37.55%. Furthermore, the return on capital employed (ROCE) for the half-year stands at a low of 16.43%, indicating potential inefficiencies in capital utilization.

In terms of market performance, Aditya Vision has shown resilience compared to the Sensex. Over the past week, the stock returned 1.08%, while the Sensex declined by 1.06%. Over the past month, the stock has gained 6.59%, contrasting with a 3.70% drop in the Sensex. However, year-to-date, the stock has faced a decline of 23.16%, while the Sensex has risen by 3.15%. Over a three-year period, Aditya Vision has outperformed the Sensex significantly, with a return of 304.15% compared to the Sensex's 38.69%.
