Abacus Mining and Exploration Corp (Abacus) is a Canada-based exploration-stage company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties in Canada. The Company operates through the mineral resource industry segment. The Company holds interest in KGHM Ajax Mining Inc. (KGHM Ajax), which is focused on the exploration and development of the Ajax copper-gold project located near Kamloops, British Columbia (the Ajax Project). The Ajax Project is a proposed copper-gold open-pit mine in the submission stage of a provincial and federal environmental assessment process. The Ajax project site is located at the southern extremity of the boundaries of the City of Kamloops and southeast along an existing haul road from the Afton mill.
