Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco) is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). Aimco, through its subsidiaries, AIMCO-GP, Inc. and AIMCO-LP Trust, holds the ownership interests in the Aimco Operating Partnership. Its property division includes four segments: Same Store, Redevelopment and Development, Acquisition, and Other Real Estate. The Company focused on the ownership, management, redevelopment, and some development of apartment communities located in the United States. Its real estate portfolio consists of approximately 120 apartment communities with approximately 32,697 apartment homes. Its apartment communities offer residents a range of amenities, including resort pools with cabanas, grills, clubhouses, spas, fitness centers, package lockers, dog parks and large open spaces.
