Eastinco Mining and Exploration PLC, formerly Equatorial Mining and Exploration plc, is a United Kingdom-based investment company, which focuses on investing in or acquiring businesses or assets in the mining sector. The Company has acquired several coal exploration licenses in Nigeria and intends to develop these through the required exploration and development stages to eventual production. The Company holds approximately three licenses in the Afikpo region of Nigeria. The Afikpo coalfields lie to the south east of the country in the Abakaliki-Afikpo Syncline. The Company has interests in approximately six licenses in the Afuze/Auchi region of Nigeria. The Afuze Coalfields lie to the south west, in the Benin Flank, an eastern extension of the Anambra Basin.
