The Company operates in five segments: fire and property damage, marine, aviation and transport, motor, engineering and miscellaneous. Its fire and property damage insurance contracts cover the assets of the policy holders against damages by fire, earthquake, riot and strike, explosion, and impact and burglary, among others. Marine, aviation and transport insurance contracts provide cover for loss of or damage to cargo while in transit to and from foreign lands and inland transit due to various insured perils. Motor insurance contracts offer indemnity for accidental damage to or loss of insured vehicle. Engineering insurance contracts offer coverage of contractors all risk, erection all risk and machinery breakdown, among others. Miscellaneous insurance contracts provide a range of coverage, including cover against burglary, loss of cash in safe, and cash in transit and cash on counter.
