Black Iron Inc. is a Canada-based iron ore development company. The Company is engaged in the exploration and development of ferrous metals in Ukraine, namely the Shymanivske project located in Kryvyi Rih, Dnepropetrovsk Region, Ukraine. The Company operates through the development of its Ukrainian mining and exploration permits segment. The Company holds an interest in a mining permit that covers an area of approximately 2.56 square kilometers and comprises the Shymanivske project. The Shymanivske project includes iron ore deposit. It is located approximately 330 kilometers southeast from Kiev in central Ukraine. The mine site is located approximately eight kilometers from the city of Kryvyi Rih. The Company's subsidiaries include Black Iron (Cyprus) Ltd., Shymanivske Steel LLC and Zelenivske Steel LLC.
