Cartier Iron Corporation, formerly Northfield Metals Inc., is an exploration-stage company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of iron ore properties in Quebec, Canada. The Company's Gagnon Holdings consist of over three iron-rich mineral concessions, totaling approximately 190 square kilometers in the Gagnon Terrane of northeastern Quebec, located in the southern part of the Labrador Trough. The Company has interests in approximately 360 claims of Round Lake, Silicate-Brutus and Jeannine Lake in the Fermont Iron Ore District in the Labrador Trough in northeastern Quebec. The properties are centered approximately 240 kilometers north of the Port of Sept-lles and over 110 kilometers southwest of the town of Wabush. The Round Lake Property consists of approximately 520 contiguous claims, covering over 274.66 square kilometers. The Company has not generated revenues.
